Paris Paralympics
Campaign

A unified visual capturing the tension and moment of sport

The Korean Paralympic Team campaign was developed ahead of the Paris Paralympics to communicate the collective identity and message of Team Korea, rather than focusing on individual athletes. From concept development to shoot direction and styling, the project was approached as a fully integrated art direction, establishing a consistent visual direction across the campaign. Each sport and athlete was analyzed and brought into a unified tone, allowing the overall message to flow naturally throughout the series. While maintaining the distinct characteristics and mood of each discipline, the structure was designed to connect them within a single campaign. Direction and styling elements—including expression, posture, and gaze—were carefully aligned to reveal each athlete's individuality while preserving the overall coherence. As a result, the campaign moves beyond a collection of individual images, forming a cohesive visual system connected by a singular direction.

Visual Concept

Rather than recreating gameplay, the shoot focuses on translating the tension and energy of each sport into a controlled visual language. High color contrast and bold backgrounds are used to emphasize form and movement, while simplified compositions draw clear attention to the subject. Clean lighting highlights the texture of skin and equipment, while still poses and restrained actions maintain a sense of controlled tension without exaggeration. Sports are approached not as functional scenes, but as stylized imagery, expanding into visuals with the density and precision of fashion photography. This approach preserves the individuality of each discipline while connecting them through a consistent use of color and tone, forming a cohesive visual flow across the campaign.
